I’m Tim Nelson, a New York-based writer and creative strategist.

I graduated from Tufts in 2012 with a bachelor’s in political science, a minor in sociology, and coursework in creative writing. Since then, I’ve worked at Havas Media and MullenLowe Profero, where I’ve written clear, SEO-friendly copy and brought content strategies to life for international clients like Choice Hotels and Western Union.

When I’m not launching branded content campaigns, I’m writing about music and culture over at Thirsty & Miserable, a blog I co-founded two years ago (Want to contribute? Send us an email).

As someone who skis off of cliffs and performs standup comedy at the occasional open mic, I know I’m at my best when I step outside my comfort zone. For my latest adventure, I’ve decided to leave the comforts of a full-time ad agency job behind and seek out new professional challenges. Right now, I’m looking for opportunities to collaborate with brands, non-profits, publications, and agencies on either a freelance or a full-time basis.
